Oral Presentation! My summer

Hello everybody, I’m Vicky and today I would like to explain you my summer.
I’m going to start for Kenia, then Zanzibar, I’ll follow for the UPA, and finally the conclusion.
1.Kenia: I arrived to Kenia the 9th of august, and I left Zanzibar the 23. I travelled with my friend Mios and her family.
Kenia is a country in East Africa, Kenya’s capital city is Nairoby.
I went to a safari, so I visited national parks. For example Maasai Mara, Nakuru National Park, and Amboseli.
2.Animals: I sow a lot of animals, here you’ve got the photos witch I take with my camara. All the time I was very near of the animals, nearly it was possible to touch them. I feed a giraffe, and I had a crocodile in my arms, It was amazing. And all of them were really beautiful.

3.Elephants: I liked the elephants the most. They’re amazing, and really strong and powerful. The African people say that they’re magicall, If you belief in them you’ll have a good luck. So I made a wish, and when I came back the wish I had came true. That was incredible. And now I’ve got a little one in my room, and the elephant is a really important symbol today for me.
4.People: The people in Kenia is really nice. They’re really poor, they haven’t got anything. They have a very hard life, they live in a little huts and The childrent wear not shoes. But they always smile.
5.Masais: We visited a tribu the masais. They’re really nice people, but very machist too. Only the mans speak English, and the woman’s didn’t speak with us. They showed us all the little area, and they explain how is their life. We can saw the traditional dance and we could danced with them. And we gave tot the little children some balls and ballons, they were really happy and gratefull. They’re happy with what they have, and they want that life. A think wich was really funny is that they tried to change me for 4 cows. Becouse Samuel, one of the boys, wanted me to get married with me.

6. Zanzibar: Then we went to Zanzibar in Tanzania. We stayed in a hotel, witch was really big, and it had a swimingpool in front the sea. We did a lot of activities in the diving center of the hotel: for example the water rings, and the bananas. That was really funny, I rode with Mios, and we fell many times.

7.Mios: I have been all the summer with Mios. In the travell but in Banyoles too. She’s one of my bests friends. That summer have been hard for me, and she listends me all the time, and she stays with me. Actually on of the reasons that I’m here, in the school is for her. She convinced me that being in the center is the best for me now. Just for this the travel has been the best in my life.

8.UPA: And finally I went to have a stage with the girls of UPA. I have been in the center all the summer apart of the travel. So in the bening it was really hard to go, because I thought that everything there was horrible, and all my friends were enjoying of the summer, and not me. But when I came back of the travel everything was different, I was more positivily. And that was cool, because now I’ve got a lot of good friends in Girona. For example Martina, Moreno, Agnès, Mireia, Andy, Bet, Melody… They’re a really good persons, and I love them lots. They’re the persons who are helping me the most.

9.Conclusion: So that was my summer. The travel was perfect. And the UPA, too. Actually now I would not change anything of my summer, because it has benn hard, but thanks to him and all my friends, girls of UPA, and my family I’m here.

Have you got any questions? Thank you!

Charlie St Cloud

ilmZac Efron plays Charlie St. Cloud. When Charlie's brother Sam dies in a car accident, Charlie gets a job at the cementery where Sam is buried. Every night, Charlie sees Sam's ghost and they talk and play baseball.

Red Riding Hood

This film is about Valerie, a beautiful girl who loves Peter. But her parents want her to marry a rich man called henry. Valerie and Peter plan to run away together but then learn that Valerie's sister has been killed by a werewolf. The villagers adk Father Solomon, a werewolf hunter, to help them. But Solomon says that the werewolf, ho is a human by day, could be one of the villagers...

Black Swan

Natalie Portman plays a ballet dancer whose dream role becomes a nightmare in this psychological thriller.

Nina (Natalie Portman) is a ballet dancer whose technique is perfect, but who is emotionally inhibited. When she gets the lead role in a new production of Swan lake!, the psychological pressure is too much for her and she begins to experience paranoid hallucinations. The closer Nina gets to her first night performance, the more terrifying her mental disintegration becomes.

Acting excellence:

Black Swan has made Portman a favourite to win the Best Actress oscar and her preparation is impressive. She does much of the dancing herself and although she may not convince a real ballet dancer, she is graceful enough to impress most of us. She is also very good at portraying Nina's mental fragility. From the start you feel that she is not strong enough to take a starring role. The film's weak point is director Darren Aronofsky. A successful psychological thriller creates an atmosphere of tension that builds inexorably. Aronofsky fails to put us in nina's position and make us share her terror - we watch her disintegration with a sense of detachment when we should leave the cinema emotionally exhausted.

Gnomeo and Juliet

A version of Shakespeare's romantic classic set in the world of gnomes!

In the hands of Pixar, a version of Romeo and Juliet done with garden gnomes might very well be brillant. But the British production comapny responsible for Gnomeo and Juliet has failed to emulate the US studio's successes. The characters are not likeable and the jokes are obvious to all but the very young. The occasional line of Shakespearean dialogue is not enought to keep adults entertained.
